70% of searches and web traffic are made from mobile phones, leading to online action, and 80% of the top-ranked websites are mobile-first (Source: review42). With such huge traffic, don’t you think it is important to maintain mobile-friendly content?

Having mobile-friendly content doesn’t just mean enhancing mobile responsiveness or resizing web pages, but it also means optimising your overall web content and writing SEO-optimised content for mobile devices. Whether it’s text, videos, slideshows, or other assets, you must optimise them in a way that provides value to your website content strategy and target audience.

So, do you know how to incorporate mobile-friendly content into your marketing strategy? We shed light on this viewpoint. Read on!

Best Ways to Make Your Content Readable for Mobile Users

1. Start with a strong, impactful introduction

The introduction is the hook part which contains the crux of the whole content. This has the power to retain or lose readers in the blink of an eye. That’s why you need to create mobile-friendly content that grabs the attention of your target audience.

And what’s the best way to draft this? Start writing your content with a strong, impactful, and statistically supported introduction addressing the pain points while highlighting the solutions.

Instead of rambling on with unnecessary information, go with the most on-point and compelling content that hooks the readers and keeps their interest in your content. Performing this accurately will help your audience to get immense value out of the mobile-friendly content and simultaneously benefit your website with more visitors and dwell time.

2. Optimise page speed for mobile users

Did you know that, on average, a mobile user spends 3 minutes or less while reading online content? Yes, with such a low dwell time, it means that if your website takes more than 3 seconds to load, your readers will lose interest and leave the page.

That’s why it’s crucial to optimise your overall website for mobile users, whether by creating a responsive design or optimising website speed through methods such as compressing images, using limited text, implementing technical SEO, or avoiding pop-ups.

When everything is in place, you will succeed in improving user experience, and readers will scroll through your site on mobile devices.

3. Use of whitespaces for better readability

Smartphones have smaller screens compared to desktop computers. With a limited attention span, users visiting web/blogs on smartphones often get distracted by cluttered layouts that show too many elements at the same time. This results in poor readability and causes your visitors to leave your page, which in technical parlance means bounce rate, and that’s not a good thing.

All the efforts you put into your marketing or website content strategy will be a sheer waste of productivity if readers move out of your page in no time.

The key solution that you can apply to give undivided attention to your users would be to offer simplicity in the mobile-friendly content you write. And the best way to do it is to effectively use white spaces, i.e., adding space in between your content.

This will help get your audience some breathing space while reading the content and understand what they should really focus on. We can say that just keeping a mobile-friendly website design, proper white spacing throughout the content ensures faster and smooth readability.

4. Place effective, relevant and helpful CTAs

What can be the biggest curse for any web content? The answer is not telling your readers what to do next after reading the content.

This becomes an even bigger problem for users reading your content on smartphones as mobile readers need quick and valuable information in restricted time. Thus, placing your call to action (CTA) is a very important step to meeting your marketing goals after putting in your hard work in framing a content marketing strategy.

Placing relevant CTAs in your content piece can help you meet the main objectives of conversions and assist your audience through the marketing and sales funnel. In essence, placing proper sections after intervals of sections should also be a part of SEO-optimized content, ensuring that users act after reading your piece of content.

5. Short, crisp and value-oriented title

What’s the first thing your target audience reads while visiting your website? Is it the introduction? Nah!

Your title is the first and foremost part of your content that your audience reads in the search engine and based on that they either click to learn more or go to the next relevant piece. Not only this, but your title/headline also determines how your content appears on the search engine landing page on mobiles.

In a nutshell, a short and crisp mobile-friendly title is an important factor to drive maximum traffic and improve search rankings.

But what’s the ideal length you should target while crafting the title? The social media toolkit for small businesses, Buffer, suggests the ideal length for a title is 6 words (55-60 characters) that drive users to click and read your content.

The best practice here is to keep your title short, crisp, value-oriented, easy to absorb and eventually hold value for your audience.

Additionally, using legible fonts and adding the focus keyword in your title within suggested character limits would be a bonus. This will help your web content increase ranking and traffic. Yes, you can make your presence felt with the crispness intact.

6. Add relevant conversion paths – Images/videos/links

Quick question – Text vs Image/Video, which mode of information would you prefer?

I assume your answer would be images or videos. As it is one of the best modes to gain and remember information. Right?

According to Brain Rules, readers retain 65% of the information three days later if a relevant image/video is paired with the required information in your content.

We can conclude that the use of visual content in the form of images, videos, PDFs, and more can either make or break your web content. It is the right and easiest content optimisation approach one can follow to educate readers. Also, leveraging it effectively will help your readers easily digest the content and provide you with more opportunities to increase search rankings.

7. Preview your content in mobile before publishing

There might be a chance for loopholes when publishing content before review. So, to ensure quality, you must ask the following questions while reading:

Are you able to breathe through the content or is it information and clutter overload?

Are there any grammatical mistakes or sentence formation issues?

Is your image/video relevant to your target audience?

Are your headlines/sub headlines short and meet the SEO standards?

Is there any scope for content improvement, like including CTAs?

Performing this mobile-friendly testing for content before publishing will help you provide quality information to your readers, ultimately increasing your brand value and building trust.

So you’ve decided to start your own blog. But all that stands in front of you at the moment is one hurdle after the other. What should you write? How do you choose your topic? At the moment, it is very possible that people who will see your blog post on facebook, twitter, might not click on it. So, what do you do to ensure that your content reaches the right kind of people exactly when they need it? How do you ensure that it is YOUR content that readers prefer when they have a query? How do you maximize the potential of your blog post? More than anything, how do you write the inbound way? Let’s help you with some tips:

Who is Your Audience?

First and foremost, you need to identify who you intend to write your blog post for. Instead of guessing the kind of content that should drive your blog, please compile relevant data, including industry research and competitor analysis. Take Sirius Decisions for example. They aim to bring actionable intelligence to B2B executives, and that reflects in the content they produce. Their blogs cover topics that feature the data from their reports and studies. Also, if you are interested in driving traffic to your posts through your blog or converting those visitors into leads, your blog post will vary highly from that perspective too. If your target audience is in the awareness stage, you’ll need to write blogs that make them aware of you, and so on.

Some tools that you can use as a way of making your research less of a task is by making the most of resources such as:

Quora: A free question-and-answer website governed by its users. It is a great way of finding the questions that the people in your industry are asking around for.

Twitter Advanced Search: When you type a keyword of your choice in and select the filter “questions”, you can see all the questions relevant to the keyword.

SEMRush: Although SEMRush is a paid tool, it works very effectively when you are out there to see what your competitors are up to.

Are Your Headlines Compelling Enough?

Think about it. Unless there is a headline that really captures your attention, there is no way that you’ll click on it to read more. If that is the case with you, why wouldn’t your users do the same? It’s essential for your blog post to have a compelling headline, thus ensuring a higher chance of your blog post being read or shared or in another way, have a high click-through rate and low bounce rate.

A way of finding the emotional marketing value of your headline is to run it through a headline analyzer. It’ll give you insights into how likely your users are to click on the headline you have curated for them. And actionable tips on what you can do to improve them.

Is Your Blog Post Formatted Correctly?

In a time when one can barely pay attention to one task for five seconds, reading long paragraphs without breaks can be an excruciating task. It’s imperative to add subheadings and make sure they are SEO optimised in order to make it easier for people to skim through the content before they decide to actually read it.

For example, Drift has a strong brand that believes in promoting conversational, personal marketing. Not only do they provide case studies about client success and provide insight on how they run things, but their blogs are also formatted in a manner that a user can scan through them without hassle. Making a blog more conversational and featuring relevant images can add to the reader feeling closer to you and your ideology.

Pointers, Please! And Images

In line with the previous point, it’s important to remember that patience runs low on the internet. This means that a reader won’t give a blog post more than a few seconds to decide whether he wants to stay or move on. In that case, just like subheadings, bullet lists become important. Pointers are most effective when:

They express a clear benefit to the reader

They are symmetrical.

They don’t contain lengthy paragraphs

There is no denying that the human brain finds it a lot easier to process visual content than text-based content. Adding relevant images that capture the mood of the blog becomes an important part of a blog post. Free resources for finding high-quality royalty-free images are abundant and you can easily match an impactful image with your text.

Is it SEO Optimised?

It’s true that writing just for the sake of SEO never helped any business. In fact, it has proven to be harmful in the long run. However, it’s essential to keep SEO in mind while curating content for your blog. A huge chunk of traffic is driven by Google’s organic search. In that case, you need to create a post that will be picked up and featured by Google search on their page when a user types a relevant keyword. In case you wish to maximise your SEO ranking, it’s highly recommended that you optimise your blog for SEO using the following steps:

Adding a proper Meta Title

Adding the right Meta Description

Optimising for Focus Keyword

Interlinking your content

Do You End With a Call-to-Action?

This is the most important step for a blog post. Unless your readers have a clear and direct call-to-action, it’s impossible for you to expect them to do anything more than read it. For you to increase your conversion rates, you need to engage your readers and ask them to leave a comment, sign up for a newsletter, share your blog post, follow you on social media, or even purchase a product you have to offer. Regardless of what it is, you have to clearly state what it is you wish them to do.

These were the seven tips that we believe will help you enormously as you go on your journey to create an effective blog post. Are you already using some of these tips? How are they working out for you? Let us know in the comments below.

Have you ever been in a situation where you knew what you wanted to buy but didn’t because the product didn’t list enough information for you to make the buying decision? Or in a situation where you were comparing two of the best products but still couldn’t decide and the auto-generated emails didn’t help either? This is called the buyer dilemma and while this may not be a marketing slang, you know it as a marketer because as a buyer, you’ve been in it yourself.

This might come as a surprise but according to HubSpot, 65% of marketers are still challenged when it comes to understanding which types of content are effective and which types aren’t. And that’s a pretty huge number! So, where’s the disconnect despite having the top content creators, copywriters, and thinkers in your inbound marketing team? Could it be that you are not clear on your personas’ buying cycle?

Ask yourself some of these questions: Do you truly understand your buyer personas? Do you know how they think, what they want, and where they look for solutions? When you don’t have the right understanding of the buyer’s journey, you’ll struggle to offer your prospects what they initially came looking for. I’ll begin by defining what a buyer’s journey is and then go onto suggesting different forms of content you can use for each stage. Sounds great to me too!

What’s the Buyer’s Journey?

Buyer’s journey is nothing but a series of touchpoints a prospect experiences with your brand before she decides to pay for your product or service. This entire journey gives you insights into where they first noticed you, how much they explored your website, which pages made them stay longer, and what really enticed to click on that call-to-action. Let’s understand the different stages in detail:

Awareness Stage: This is the stage where a prospect is just getting aware that you offer solutions they are probably looking for. She will explore blogs, articles, reviews, opinions, data, etc to make sure she understands your brand. And browse for any information that attracts her further and pushes towards the evaluation stage.

Evaluation Stage: This is where she is trying to evaluate whether you are a good fit for the problems she is trying to explore solutions for or not. She will go deeper into the resources you have to offer to gain further understanding of your capabilities.

Purchase Stage: If she has reached this stage, then it means she likes you! Now all she needs to know is how to become your valued customer. And a bunch of things will aid her in making this buying decision, starting with intent, compelling call to action button, easy navigation, informative “contact us” or “take a demo” page, and so on.

Now, you might have understood how all stages work and how crucial it is to give this prospect what she needs for her to be able to travel down the funnel and not opt-out. Yes, it is challenging, at the same time, also a great opportunity if you know exactly what kind of content to offer her. In a nutshell, it looks a lot like this:

Content Ideas For Each Stage Of The Funnel

Awareness Stage

As you must have come across various statistics when it comes to how buyers shop online, the facts stand true – 81% of shoppers conduct online research before making a purchase, according to Adweek! It’s highly likely that what you have to offer, your prospects are already searching for this information online. So, if you need to appear in their search results, you know you have to offer the right answers. Talking about answering their queries, educational blog posts that specifically target the problem statement are a great way to start. Other than these, e-books, infographic, and whitepapers also serve the same purpose.

Now the question comes – how do you present the information they are seeking? Should that be written or should you make videos? That completely depends upon your marketing strategy. If as a brand, you are more into videos, then go ahead and offer educational video content but if you are not, and don’t intend to take a risk, then go ahead and produce some exciting and original “written” content.

Let’s see some examples:

Inside Design offers great design resources for their prospects to understand the different kinds of problems they are trying to solve. Their design resource section is full of tool kits that give an in-depth overview of how to use these along with a free download option.

Another great example is ZoomInfo’s infographic that talks about how recruiters can track down passive candidates. It starts in the form of a detective looking to find culprits and ends with an effective free trial to quickly lead the prospect towards the bottom of the funnel without wasting any time. Are you taking notes?

Evaluation Stage

So, you have attracted the prospects, now it’s the time to nurture them down the funnel further. Unarguably, this is the most important stage as this is where they decide to move to the purchase stage or simply opt-out. According to HubSpot, companies with refined middle-of-the-funnel engagement and lead management strategy see a 4–10 times higher response rate compared to generic email blasts and outreach. And that nurtured leads produce, on average, a 20% lift in sales opportunities.

The numbers are great, which account for an even greater strategy towards the middle of the funnel engagement. This is also where you show yourselves as experts in the field to rope the prospects into what you are offering. Introduce webinars, in-depth whitepapers, social media live, case studies, etc, clearly stating what you are offering is actually better than your competitors.

Let’s explore some examples:

Ecoconsultancy’s webinar series is just the perfect example of engaging the middle of the funnel buyer. On the same landing page, not only do they ask the visitor to sign up for the webinar but also talk about their subscription plans whichever may suit the prospect’s needs. Now, if this isn’t killing two birds with one stone, then I don’t know what is!

Seth Godin’s Akimbo – this unique podcast is another great example of how to do evaluation stage content right. Their podcasts have the option of recording your question about the most recent podcast which they answer on air!

Purchase Stage

Free demos, trials, discount offers, enticing calls-to-action, etc are all over the internet. Sometimes, they hit the nail, while most times they are just a trick because your prospect might not even be ready to buy. Then what? But here’s the thing, if you have been leading the prospect correctly all the way up to this stage, then you already know that they are interested. And with that information comes responsibility – knowing where their buttons are and when to press them.

Unarguably, one of the most challenging and also easiest stages to convert a lead into customers, this is where you offer free trials, free product demos, coupons, free consultation, little more than a sneak peek into who you are, and showcasing how you helped former prospects through compelling case studies or even reviews which clearly boast about the efficiency of your products and services in solving similar problems.

Let’s look at some examples:

Salesforce uniquely displayed their Adidas case study in a format that’s easy to understand, relatable, and insightful. After telling the story, in the end, they also displayed the products that helped Adidas grow, thereby, offering a clear value addition other than the case study itself. Typically, case studies are good when offered in the evaluation stage but sometimes they offer the opportunity to directly lead the prospect towards a buying decision, just like in Salesforce’s case, where they fit just right.

Another example is the free demo that they offer on this landing page:

It’s not only easy to navigate but also quite user-centric in terms of information the prospects moving towards the bottom of the funnel might be looking for. On the top right-hand corner, there’s also an option of free trial for those who want to experience first hand what they are buying before they have actually made a purchase.

Quick Refresher

Once you’ve understood what kind of content to create for which stage, everything else will be a cakewalk. While different content efforts may differ from business to business, the foundation is the same – understanding who you are targeting and creating a documented content strategy that you can track, edit, and update as per the progress you are seeing and seeking. Each stage of the funnel is different from the other but all of those coming to your website looking for answers carry the same intent – of finding solutions. So, take full advantage of that and see conversions flowing through the funnel! Ready?

Overview

The digital noise environment is busier than ever, and simply publishing content is no longer enough to break through the noise. Perhaps you are interested in learning more about what is content marketing, or perhaps you are interested in learning more about the intricate details of content marketing strategy.

This blog post will walk you through 8 key learnings to get you up to speed on this craft. We’ll cover the fundamental aims of content marketing, from establishing trust to generating quality leads, and how content marketing drives sales by delivering genuine value. We’ll also touch on why content marketing is necessary for SEO so that your brand remains visible in an AI-driven world.

Takeaways will include:

The importance of prioritizing value over “interesting” fluff.

The imperative of developing a written-out strategy.

The power of “snackable” repurposed content.

The importance of developing accurate, humanized personas.

Stay ahead of the latest content marketing trends in 2026 and learn how to develop a strategy that resonates.

According to a Forbes study, 90% of marketers use content in their strategies to attract, engage, and delight customers. This highlights how the art of content marketing has revolutionised the way businesses connect with potential customers, moving beyond traditional methods, and becoming a core part of a strong inbound marketing strategy.

Content marketing has been changing the game for us every year and as the Content Marketing Strategist, I couldn’t be more kicked. I shared some practices from my previous experiences and adopted some of the new ones with the fast-changing requirements of consumers when it comes to content. Either way, it has been exciting.

So, whether you are the “King” or “Queen” (in my case) of content, one thing is certain – with the right content marketing insights, you sure can be the agent of change!

From my own experiences of carving the content-focused path, freshly brewed and strongly fragranced, here are a few lessons that I learned in the art of content marketing:

1. Don’t Offer Just Anything Interesting – It Needs To Add Value

For many people, it might be fascinating to know what the Queen of England is up to each second of her day, but it might not offer them any value. You need to offer what they need, not just something which might interest them.

Let’s face it, with each piece of content you offer, you are trying to achieve one or all the following:

You are trying to influence a buyer who has no reason to switch

You are trying to gain the attention of a new prospect who doesn’t know she needs you

You are trying to turn a competitor’s audience into yours who might or might not be happy with them

No matter what you are trying to achieve, you can distract them by offering something interesting or what exactly they are seeking from you. This will help you turn the readers or audience into paying customers.

2. Have A Documented Content Strategy

I have noticed it slipping away so many times from my own schedule and I can say from experience – it hurts.

But wait, do I mean documented as in writing it all down or is it something else?

No, it is not just writing it all down, a documented content marketing strategy is a bunch of proven and actionable steps which yield predictable results, which are reduced to writing. So, instead of just ‘winging it’ or re-inventing the wheel each day, you basically look at replicating what already gave you great results.

This cannot only reduce the number of coffee takeaways you are probably getting to mitigate the ever-increasing stress of creating new content each day but can also lead to smarter decisions – such as not getting too many coffee takeaways.

Additionally, using the popular HubSpot CRM for content marketing can help you prepare your draft which you can access at any time. Without missing a single piece of information, you can edit the draft and use it to create a compelling and engaging copy which gains user attention.

3. Get Over Your Glossophobia!

Now what is that?

Glossophobia is the fear of public speaking – which explains why not too many marketers are doing much public speaking even though they might know a great deal of content marketing tactics. Because 74% of all people suffer from it!

Wondering why this is important?

Think about it! Speech is also a part of content marketing strategy and some great content at that!

With the right body language, gestures and smile, one can make an irreversibly positive impact on the audience. In fact, public speaking might be the most overlooked type of content that we don’t think we should tap into. The reasons could be many, from the actual fear of public speaking (thank God, stats speak) to not feeling the need to establish an entirely different platform for content delivery. But the result is common – you are missing out on a lot of prospects who are more interested in listening than reading.

4. Literally, Just Let Them Snack on Content

According to LookBookHQ, “Almost 60% of marketers repurpose content 2-5% times. They generate “Snackable” content based on assets.”

The only way you can have your audience snack on your content is by repurposing – it’s a part of the content creation strategy. You might not always have the time, budget or resources to keep generating new content and many organisations have already come to terms with it. So, instead of just writing anything (refer to point 1st) which adds no cherry to the top of the creamy content, just make an ice cream out of it or a fudge. How about a double-layered cake?

If you are not bothered about the calories, just take that piece of content your audience engaged with the most and re-make it with some beautiful designs, graphics, images or even quotes.

5. More, And Some More – No, Don’t Do It!

Source: CMI

Looks like you don’t have the luxury to be bothered by the calories after all! According to CMI, 72% of marketers are already producing significantly more content than they did a year ago!

Would you like some more snacks?

Well, you cannot help it. With about 2 million blogs published a day, it’s easy for someone to not go for your snack. It’s both good and bad to stand out.

Good because not everyone might be producing quality content, and bad because what if you are not doing it either!

You need to create more visually appealing and in-depth content if you want your audience to keep asking for more. And when they do that, don’t just literally give them more – in terms of content, give them more – in terms of quality. This is the only thing that adds value to your content and encourages readers to opt for your content marketing strategies or solutions.

Infact, the provider can help you set up your marketing strategy and execute it directly from HubSpot, minimise risks and enhance content quality.

6. It’s All About How You Make Them Feel

Ever wondered why you get so pissed looking at the wrong spelling of your name on your Starbucks coffee mug? You might have a cringe or a gritted smile on top but your insides might as well be screaming at how unfair it is to not have your name spelt correctly! Well, that’s because you feel terrible. And that’s because you associate so closely with your name more than anything else.

It’s the same with your customers too. A little custom content goes a long way.

Custom content is more like building affinity towards your existing customers, rather than pulling in the new ones. And you’ll know just how important it is when I tell you that about 61% of consumers’ buying decisions are influenced by custom content. I didn’t say that – Dragon search marketing did! Custom content might just be what you need to retain your existing customers if by any chance you are failing to keep them interested in you.

By using HubSpot, you can set up the persona and target audience to understand what your customers are looking for. Once you have the analysis in place, it would be 4X times easier to customise the content as per your audience’s needs. This approach proved more helpful when you are crafting a b2b content marketing strategy for medium to large-scale enterprises.

7. Original – Human Generated Content

In the era of artificial intelligence, human-generated content has been somewhat overshadowed. While AI-generated content often achieves high rankings, it can fall short of creating genuine connections with human needs. This is why human-generated content remains essential.

We have heard all sorts of things about how important it is to have authentic content, and we’d all agree that those sorts of things are correct and most of us do focus on that anyway. So, what’s the point here?

According to Social Media Examiner, 58% of marketers said that original “written” content is the most important type of content, outdoing visuals and videos. That’s the point!

Focusing on creating user-generated content is the actual art of content marketing than you think. For small companies with limited resources or those unable to invest in visual content and videos, this approach can be particularly beneficial. By concentrating on blog posts, articles, case studies, and white papers, you can still achieve significant success with original written content.

8. Personas that help everybody

Persona is the ideal representation of your potential customer. Without persona in place, it wouldn’t only be challenging but an ineffective approach to target customers. In simple, we can say persona is the initial step for generating compelling copies which is why you should prioritise it before stepping ahead for the content-creating strategy for your client.

According to research, 71% of companies that exceed revenue and lead goals have documented personas.

Some of your audiences organically travel the seamless funnel of Lead, Opportunity and Buyer, while others won’t. But don’t simply shun them because they may provide long-term value even if they can’t turn into customers.

If you keep them engaged, they can serve as the connecting link between you and new customers that you can acquire. They can also be the right influencers, amplifying your reach in the market.

The point is, take the time you need to research, quantify and define your target persona, eventually also including those who were the targeted prospects before, and now are influencers. Share the documented persona with everyone in the team so they know who they are trying to engage.

But remember, personas do need to be updated – thanks to the ever-changing mind of a regular consumer. So, before they lose relevance, re-work on your persona regularly.

Conclusion

How people interact with content today can say a lot about how they consume it. A good marketer is already aware of it and another one is making you aware right now. A lot has changed, moved, evolved day by day and a lot is coming in the year ahead. But the only thing that remains constant is the dynamic buying behaviour, quality content, and how your prospects and clients consume content. Leads are everywhere, from your Facebook friends list to your next-door pub – all you must do is get the right content marketing strategy!

What is content marketing?

Content marketing is a form of marketing through content creation and publication. Instead of directly selling your product or service, content marketing focuses on offering the reader a solution to their problem, thereby earning their trust and potentially converting them into customers.

What are the 3 C’s of content marketing?

The 3 C’s represent Creation (the original materials), Curation (passionate sharing of relevant insights from elsewhere), and Conversation (connecting with others online). Balancing all three of them ensures your content marketing strategy isn’t just a monologue but a helpful, community-driven resource that builds brand authority.

How to make a content marketing strategy?

To create a content strategy, start by defining your Target Audience And Content Marketing Goals, which you wish to achieve. Audit Your Current Resources, decide on distribution channels, and schedule content. Develop a content marketing schedule that gets your message in front of your target market.

What features should I look for in a content creation platform?

A Content Creation platform should offer user-friendly editing features, robust collaboration tools, and SEO prompts. Ideally, such a platform should also offer built-in analytics to track the success of your content marketing efforts and a variety of content types, especially in line with the trends in content marketing 2026.

How can startups measure the success of their content efforts?

Companies starting from scratch should focus on measuring content marketing’s Sales Qualification conversion rates, Lead Quality and Organic Website Traffic growth. Measuring “dwell time” and backlinks can also help you understand the “why” behind content marketing for SEO and long-term relevancy.

How does content marketing drive sales?

Content marketing works to help get sales from target audience by providing strategic content that addresses issues, educates, and builds trust with that target audience.

Why is content marketing needed for SEO?

Content marketing is a staple for Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Relevant, unique content that is of value to your user base helps to establish key aspects of your site with Search Engines, which can in turn increase the visibility and rank for relevant search terms.

A periodic table of content marketing is a visual representation of the key elements and strategies that make up a successful content marketing campaign. HubSpot is the top Customer Relationship Management or CRM platform that enables marketers to streamline most of their content marketing tasks. A study by Content Marketing Institute (CMI) reveals that 73% of B2B marketers and 70% of B2C marketers use content marketing as part of their overall marketing strategy.

Content marketing can serve as a guide or a blueprint for developing a comprehensive and effective content strategy. By breaking down its various components into specific elements, marketers can gain a better understanding of how to create, distribute, communicate, collaborate, and optimise their content.

A periodic table of content marketing helps you break down your strategies into small portions to help you execute them holistically. According to HubSpot State of Marketing report, 82% of marketers actively use content marketing to solve their customer’s pain points and generate more leads.

Building Blocks of HubSpot Content Marketing

The periodic table of contents can boost your business growth if you understand the right usage and implementation of all the elements in the table of content marketing plan in the right way.

Let's explore the factors of a periodic table of content marketing and how they can contribute to business growth based on current trends and best practices:

#1 Content Strategy

Following the HubSpot state of marketing report, 48% of companies that have a B2B content strategy in place can leverage blogging for prospect conversion at a fast pace.

The foundation of any successful content marketing campaign is a well-defined strategy, including goals, target audience, content formats and distribution channels.

Not only this, but you can see this entire process from the initial stage to what customers give you. The periodic table can help you break down the blog strategy even further and give you a complete view of where it can be published, distributed, shared, and repurposed and how it is expected to fare – all under one single roof.

Related Blog: How AI Shaping the Future of Content Optimization and Writing

#2. Content Format

Putting random content may lead to inappropriate traffic on your website, leading to decreased domain authority. This is where you decide the best content format to be the most engaging content asset for your customers. Being aware of and implementing a captivating format can set your brand voice according to the clientele.

A periodic table of content marketing can enable you to break down the various formats to use your content in different formats (blog, video, infographic, social media, Ebook, Eguide, whitepaper, case study) and decide which one will fetch the best results.

#3. Repurposing

Do more with less! You suddenly realise that you have already generated excess content and there is nothing more to be covered. During such instances, the best thing to do is to prepare a content marketing strategy and repurpose or reuse the existing content.

If you have similar blogs around one topic, then you can create an E-book or e-guide! Is a blog worthy of becoming a video? Do that!

Curating a fresh new copy takes more time in collating factual data and hours of effort in researching to gain in-depth knowledge of a topic. However, the best way to make worth of existing content on your website is by repurposing it.

#4. Distribution Channel

Channel distribution solely relies on the type of content you produce — web content, emails, blog post, whitepapers, Ebooks and others. For instance, if you want to publish a whitepaper, then it should be published on your website.

Similarly, blog posts can be published on websites, and other platforms like Medium, LinkedIn or Quora. Want to announce that you have a new whitepaper? You can use this content as for lead generation in email marketing.

#5. Relationship Building

Effective digital marketing is based on having a profound understanding of your audience's needs and serving them with relevant content along their buying process. This means collecting audience insights to know their pain points and micro-moments—their questions during moments of need—and then serving them useful content, like guides, videos, or lists, at the right time. By consistently providing the SEO content marketing strategy at the right time, you earn trust and establish your brand as a trusted guide, so when the moment arises, customers will recall you.

Read Also: The Art of Content Marketing

#6. Lead Generation

SEO content creation generates leads by "gating" such valuable assets as templates or ebooks, asking users to give contact information to access. This not only captures the leads but also allows marketers to segment audiences, measure lead temperature, and sequence sales efforts by content engagement. Additionally, turning your content into more than just an engagement device but a powerful lead qualification vehicle.

#7. Brand Positioning

Content marketing establishes brand positioning by showing invaluable USPs via useful, non-promotional content. This B2C and B2B content strategy includes thought leadership articles or even short expert quotes in outside publications, creates industry authority, generates organic traffic, and increases brand recognition.

#8. SEO Benefit

SEO-optimised site content, such as keyword-driven category pages and focused blog posts, enhances search rankings. Category pages are driven by commercial keywords, whereas blogs touch micro-moments and increase engagement metrics such as time on site, eventually improving visibility.

#9. Metrics

The effectiveness of your content marketing efforts needs to be measured at regular intervals through metrics such as traffic, engagement, leads, conversions and ROI so that you are able to optimise your strategy and improve your results. Additionally, content audit is another method to list all data in one place and analyse the gaps and scope of improvement for your website.

Conclusion

If followed correctly, a periodic table of content marketing/elements can help you have a clear set of guidelines, framework, reference point, formats and awareness of what your audience wants. With this, you can solve the pain points of your customers.

What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when thinking about AI content writing? Does it provide user-generated content that aligns with your brand tone and goal?

The content remains the king in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. What would happen if the king got a good high-tech makeover? Let’s talk about rising Artificial Intelligence (AI), which actually transformed everything while creating and optimising content. AI will be integrated into the content marketing fabric by 2026, changing the game for every writer, marketer, and businessman (Forgive science fiction).

More than 80% of marketers believe that AI will soon substantially impact content creation and by leveraging AI-powered tools, they are already saving businesses up to 50% of their time spent on data analysis. Here’s the future of content writing in the time of AI-fueled optimisation.

This blog post walks you through how AI revolutionising all types of content created and those AI tools everyone should know within 2026 and beyond this year.

#1. Growing AI in Content Marketing Landscape

AI in content marketing and AI writing tools seems to cause some discomfort. We have invariably tied creativity with the human mind, and thereby, generating content by machines seems to haunt our thinking. It is generally realised that human creation is indeed a reflection of our unique viewpoints and experiences.

However, AI in content creation should not be a threat, but an evolution. Where the industrial revolution automated labor-intensive, mundane work, and computers streamlined computational processes, it is now time for AI to come and augment the creative process.

Hyper-personalise your content with AI In 5 ways. Read on to know more about how AI helps content marketers here.

#2. Natural Language Processing: The Ace of AI Writing

Natural Language Processing (NPL) enables AI to write and Large Language Model (LLM) in which the AI model is designed to meet users’ expectations. Artificial intelligence teaches narrative structures, stylistic patterns and even figures of speech by sifting through massive amounts of human-constructed material. This allows AI to produce articles, and even poetry, that can be nearly impossible to distinguish from their human-created counterparts. Major media companies, including The New York Times and Reuters, are already using AI for content writing and formulaic stuff.

#3. The Dawn of Formulaic Content and the Future of Content Writing

There is surprisingly creative AI-generated content that is formulaic. This kind of content may be useful but lacks depth and originality compared to human-generated work. As AI advances, we will see a widening gap between formulaic, AI-generated content and high-quality, human-driven content.

The future of content marketing will be collaborative, where humans use AI writing tools to enhance their efficiency and output while retaining control over the creative direction and core messaging.

#4. Hyper-Personalisation and Content Optimisation

AI can critically analyse such a massive chunk of data concerning audience preferences and find trending topics to personalise at scale. This means such marketers will make highly targeted campaigns that resonate with parts of their audience, thus maximising every form of engagement and ROI. AI content optimisation will become an integral part of every successful content strategy.

For instance:

If you want to write a blog using AI, you can ask for the primary, secondary, and long-tail keywords, incorporate credible statistics, target audience and define your brand voice to AI for generating humanised content. Giving the right prompts to AI tools gives you the finest output which needs little to no tweaks. This will not only save your brainstorming and research time but also improve your efficiency while boosting productivity.

#5. The Human Touch: Still the Best

Although AI capabilities are impressive, humans are the original drivers of creativity. Artificial intelligence excels in information processing and identifying patterns but lacks human creativity and emotions. Human beings alone are capable of formulating original ideas and infusing content with emotions and meaning. AI content creation depends on the input and guidance of human creators. It is a powerful tool, but it’s a tool, nonetheless.

Top 5 AI Writing Tools:

A recent survey revealed by Gartner predicts that by 2026, 30% of new IT spending will be on AI, with a strong focus on data analytics. This clearly shows how rapidly companies are shifting towards AI for research and content curation. Here’s the 5 most helpful AI writing tools that will transform your writing game.

#1. Junia.ai

Junia helps to develop marketing copy and content by understanding your brand and targeted audience. It creates a wide variety of humanise content formats, ranging from ad copy to writing blog posts, to increase engagement and conversions.

#2. Jasper

This writing assistant allows users to create any kind of content, be it a blog post, marketing copy, or even creative stories. Jasper has templates and recipes for easier and more streamlined writing.

#3. Sudowrite

It breaks the writer’s block and comes up with innovative ideas. One can get more plot twists and character descriptions to enhance the overall narrative.

#4. Copy.ai

Great tool for generating marketing copies, website content, and every other business text. It can automate the entire process of copying and making quality content.

#5. HubSpot Breeze

This is part of the larger family of HubSpot AI tools that assist in crafting marketing emails and other content types within the HubSpot ecosystem. It uses AI to personalise and optimise content to ensure better performance for campaigns.

AI Content Creation: Shaping the Future, Not Replacing Humans

AI is already shaping the future of content creation; it’s no longer a question of if it will. Rather, the real point at which to ideate is how we become used to this new reality. If some jobs may not be required for writing, the specifications of creativity and strategic insight remain. The future of AI content writing will be determined by the symbiosis of human ingenuity.

Hereafter, this guilty pleasure acts as a tool that will instill exceptional efficacy, personalisation, and effect. The next best-selling novel may, after all, co-write itself between a human author and an AI assistant in a fashion that’ll push the edge of creativity and storytelling into ways we can only imagine today.

Best 7 Steps To Write An Effective Case Study

What is the purpose of a B2B case study? Simply put, a B2B case study helps users understand how as a business, you can solve their pain points as you have done for other clients.

As part of your content marketing activities, B2B case studies are content that must feature on your website to give your audience a credible understanding of your problem-solving capabilities. The audience that actually goes on to read your case studies is already in the middle or bottom of your sales funnel, just a tad bit away from making a decision to purchase.

Your website content determines and drives the decision-making process of an audience and what better way to do this than by giving them a deep glimpse of your work? While online reviews or testimonials are one way of doing it, B2B case studies take your content marketing success levels to a higher tier.

7 Steps To Write A B2B Case Study And Share Your Story With The World:

1. Introduction

In order to give a brief about who you helped find a solution for a problem, a B2B case study must ideally have an introduction about the client you partnered with. List out the 5Ws (who, what, when, why, where) and 1H (how) of their brand and a gist of what you accomplished for them to drive the results they were looking for. Including the client’s years of business, brand value and industry gives a clear idea of how interesting your case study will turn out in the next few paragraphs.

2. Challenges

Your customer has approached you because they have pain points, they are unable to solve on their own. This is where you will have to list down all the challenges they faced in the initial days of your interaction. Introduce the challenge by talking about what impact this problem had on their business.

The problem statement gives the reader an idea about what the business tried to accomplish but failed to for taking wrong or misguided decisions.

How long did the problem exist before you entered the scene?

Talk about the end user while you mention the challenges because this is where your reader will see himself/herself as the protagonist of your story.

Learn How To Create The Better Content Marketing Strategy

3. Wants

You would want to highlight the end goal of your customer.

What is it that the client wanted to achieve by opting for your solution?

Why is it that they wanted a solution to accomplish their end goal in the first place?

These are the questions you would need to answer while you get down to writing what your client wanted.

4. Needs

Didn’t we just cover that, you wonder? Wants and needs are often misunderstood to be the same but keep in mind that they are different and accordingly draft your customer’s wants for your case study. Needs are what help you achieve the wants. List down the points that qualify as needs that your client had in mind to fulfil their wants.

5. Your Audit

One of the most important points of your B2B case study is the audit. This is where you tap and identify the problem your client is facing because they are unable to achieve their wants. You conduct the audit to understand why are they facing the challenges you mentioned above.

List out the audits in various areas of their functionalities and operations to give your reader a brief on what you spotted before proposing solutions.

6. Solution

This is the part that is going to be the centre of your readers’ focus. They have already opened this case study keeping in mind that their problems may be similar and are looking for a solution. How you have solved the problem for another client is important for them to understand. This is where you show all your technical expertise in helping them overcome their challenges. What did you do, why did you do it, where did you do it, when did you do it and how did you do it? They want it all. Give it to them through your case study. Draw comparisons and take the liberty to play around with the flow.

7. Impact

Your solutions need backing and that’s what impact does. Impacts can be highlighted with numbers or results that your solutions have driven. How did that impact come about? Your B2B case study needs to have a good reference of results that you were a major contributor for to show your reader that you are the right choice to help them undertake the task of helping them solve their challenges.

Conclusion

Ideally, your impact in the case study does the job but it may abruptly end for some if it doesn’t have a conclusion. This could be a repeat of what you spoke about in the introduction about solving your customer’s problems and driving a particular result.

Now that a conclusion is stressed upon, this blog has one as well. It is recommended that you stick to a word limit of 1000 for a B2B case study. Case study write-ups, when stretched, become too heavy for readers to fathom and absorb information. Keep it simple and easy to understand and you will do your business a big favour!

Know That Content Marketing Is Driven By Psychological Factors

For every word piece that exudes a neat structure and eloquence, there lies a content marketing strategy of research-driven approach and the triggering psychology to persuade your audience. Whether it is a blog, social media post, newsletter, e-book, whitepaper or a marketing email, content marketing is driven by psychological factors. It identifies how your target audience reads your content, takes it, shares it and reacts to it. Moreover, the colours you choose as part of your content layout, format, the font and the images used, all combine to form content that becomes worthy of its intent.

With this extent of crucial role in content marketing strategy, psychology has long since tricked the readers to penetrate their consciousness and sprinkle its objective. Therefore, in this digital age, when content has become the prime source of attracting an audience, the art of persuasion for lead conversion is gaining momentum. Psychology wrapped in the art of persuasion can scale a brand’s content marketing strategy for progressing the conversions.

Addressing this increasing demand, we have curated the top psychological triggers that persuade the audience, influence marketing and convince them to convert as leads-

1. Reciprocity

The first art of persuasion commences with identifying human nature: Reciprocity. By nature, humans are inclined to be obliged in returning favours for the offers and discounts. For example, if your blog or social media post is marketing with a call-to-action (CTA), inculcating informational content, then your audience might feel obliged or convinced to provide their personal data, such as name, email address or phone number while registering. In some cases, highly persuading content might touch their psychological wires into buying something from your brand.

2. Commitment

From the psychological point of view, humans align their commitment to their self-image, which drives them towards consistency. In terms of content marketing strategy, the audience can be committed to consistent newsletters and whitepapers that address their psychology, exactly how you want it.

3. Marketing Funnel

The marketing funnel incorporates the Knowledge-Attitude-Behaviour (KAB) process aimed at creating a positive image of your brand. It begins with garnering the attention or awareness of the audience and continues to keep them interested in your brand, before influencing their desire for the service or product and then finally persuading them to purchase it. This content marketing strategy makes your audience feel assertive about your brand, develops trust and converts them into quality leads.

4. Using Persuasive Language

What catches your audience’s interest in your content are the title, heading and the introductory paragraph. So, it’s clear that a content marketing strategy must be equipped with the technique to nail these three. However, this forms the biggest challenge in the art of persuasion. Using persuasive language deploys some trigger words that gain your audience’s attention, with visual anchors smartly cushioned to make it more attractive.

A simple yet effective headline formula should look somewhat like this structure:

“Number: Trigger Word: Adjective Keyword Promise”

This when incorporating a personalisation effect, raises an even more powerful psychological trigger to your audience, who would be tempted to a quality read.

1. ELM Model

ELM (Elaboration Likelihood Model) is based on user experience that is directly affected by a user’s level of engagement in the content. While poor experience can dissuade your audience, paying attention to the minutest of details in making the content interesting and engaging, can make the visitors steer towards your brand’s desired outcome.

Cognitive Fluency

Within a blink of an eye a user can analyse a content piece and decide if it is worth spending time on. In fact, with our attention time span contracting, cognitive fluency is a content marketing strategy that deserves more priority than ever. This can include making social media posts as brief as possible, creating concise and effective CTAs, focusing on the theme, eye-catching minimal graphics, videos wherever possible and hashtags to highlight the content.

Central and Peripheral Route Processing

Every piece of content relies on elaboration on the points. When you as a content marketer are elaborating, you unknowingly choose one of the two processing routes of either central or peripheral. While central route processing caters to the message sent out to the audience, peripheral route processing gives more attention to secondary elements such as presentation, appeal and visual, instead of aiming directly at the message.
